does your info. such as IP, ISP, browser etc. seen by default online?
Hi, Encountered an embedded graphic on a page today, it is from danasoft.com
(http://www.danasoft.com/vipersig.jpg) where it lists my IP ISP System Browsers I have a Zone-alarm free firewall installed when these info appeared I'm confused... Does these appear by default to others in online? Are these info. supposed to be hidden? How does having a firewall help? Appreciate your help. Thank you |

Most of those images are a small java/active x script that creates an image, that displays the host/ip information from the local computer, on the local machine/your computer screen. It doesn't go out of your home network, but who knows..
If you accessed a remote image, hosted on some web server, the server will probly log what IP address the request came from.. A firewall can't do much about what a remote does in regards to access logs. |
