After plugging in the other PC to the router's port that was previously connected to the xbox, you may have to turn off the PC that you just connected to the router then restart the router, then turn on the PC. If you have an additional port on the router, you can run another cable to the PC, so that XBOX and each PC have their own cable's/ports. What model router?

Have one computer (the one that has worked without issues) connected "wired" to a LAN port on the modem/router, leave the PC off, restart the modem/router, when it gets a connection, turn on the PC that is wired to the LAN port on the modem/router. Then check that the PC can connect to the internet etc.. If it can, check your IP settings and find the "gateway" address, type this address into your browser address bar, this should bring up your modem/routers configuration interface. Reconfigure your router to include enough DHCP client address range, so that there's enough addresses available for the machines and xbox that you plan on connecting to the internet. There's some other settings that you can check on and compare/reconfigure based on the xbox live's config suggestions. http://support.xbox.com/support/en/us/xbox360/XboxLive/GetConnected/SetupaHomeNetwork/RouterConnection.aspx

I have seen a few posts regarding belkin wireless G router/modems not being very good for gaming? If you have any doubts after trying all the suggestions/not getting anywhere, see if you can get a modem that does not have a built in router, then try a linksys router from the xbox live compatability list. Linksys Supported Firmware
BEFSR41 (v3) 1.04.8, 1.05.00
BEFW11S4 (v4) 1.45.3, 1.50.14
WRT54G (v1, v2, v3) 3.01.3, 3.03.6
WRT54GS (v2) 3.37.6
WRT55AG (v2) 1.10, 1.79
