huh? This time I left myself out of the loop, thinking that I had to take care of my grandma this weekend. I watched the clan members pack up their compy's and head for lanfest without me :(

See, it wasn't you keeping yourself out of the loop, the clan members should have been sending you play by play action.

That's the insider info that I haven't posted :) A clan leader had/has a webcam through a livechat program that I could have connected to, as well as a ton of pics that they will post on the clans website.

I got a couple server IP's for Call of Duty 4 and UT3, from the intel lanfest site but I don't have either of those games on this rig :P

I would have posted the insider info earlier if I had known that they weren't going to post leaderboards till after the fact.

I guess the people that need to know, were already there.. Most of the clan's and media people that are/were there, will have all the nitty-gritty, vids and pics, results etc... later on tonight or some such thing.. So I'll just have to sit back n wait.

No! don't get me wrong, I'm not trolling or anything like that, I'm seriously wondering where all the media is... But like you said, it's too early.

I'm disapointed that there isn't that much live coverage, I mean, they have like 500 people gaming, alot of other people just spectating, a HUGE plasmascreen for spectators to view the top tourny's highlights, demo's etc.. A big console fest, "probly xbox 360" Where all the games and hardware were provided by MFG's to use by the contestants etc.... All these techies geeked out for 3 days straight and not even a live leaderboard somewhere to see how everyone's doing.

As advanced and as "real-time" as everything seems to be these days, you'd think it would be easier to find an updated leaderboard, without having to call someone that is there, just to find out what's going on.. I was hoping that someone had links to current stuff is all.. I have SOME info, some photo's from inside the building, some hints to the crazyness and unlimmited frign Mountain Dew... I was talking with a couple of people that were there on friday n saturday, got webcam links, msn/yahoo messenger chatting etc.. But I figured I'd leave that stuff for the clan leader to post on their website.

I dunno. seems kinda like alot of the tech trade shows and lan parties have dropped off the map for now. There will always be those in the loop and they will be there, but the general public interest isn't there.
