Does anyone know if temporary media files from sites like YouTube and such are stored on your hard drive and can be saved? There are a few videos I'd like to have, but can't find available for download except on YouTube. Is there any way to locally save these files and if so how?
I am running Ubuntu linux version 7.10 - the Gutsy Gibbon.

There would probably be an internet temp file someplace but more likely it is just one which will take you back to the YouTube site so that you can view it on their site again. To be able to actually keep a hard copy to a video from there then you would have to download the actual video from YouTube using their instructions. Then you would be given the option to save it in a specific place on your computer.

Jholland: Thanks for the info, I'll see if I can give that a try and if not I'll repost.
