My Norton subscription expired and after many years it's time to move on. What do you recommend to replace Norton System Works? I'm looking for an Internet Security Suite with Utilities (unerase files, Restore like GoBack, defrag. hard drive etc.).
Thanks

It really depends on what all you need. There are free programs out there that will do anything that you will need, almost.
AVG Free Edition is the Anti-virus that I've used personally for 3 years now and haven't had one issue with it, PLUS it's FREE.
You can just use Disk Defragmenter in Windows to defrag...
What else do you want/need?

[URL Removed] it can convert all popular video formats to MP4 or WMV files for playing on Apple TV. It can convert from MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, WMV, XVid, DivX, FLV, AVI, RM, RMVB, MOV, and more other formats. It supports WMV and MP4 (H.264 and XVid) files.

What does this program have to do with replacing Norton SystemWorks? Norton is a system utilies program and has nothing to do with DVD authoring/conversion. This looks suspiciously like a spam post.....

This (http://www.v-com.com/product/SystemSuite_Home.html) is the package that I recommend and personally have been using since version 3. It has all critical functions you need and also much more but of course it is not a free program though the cost is more reasonable than Norton's.
Like Gizmo said, there are free alternatives; AVG or AntiVir for virus scanning, AUSLogics Defrag for defragging, Erunt for registry backup and restore which is virtually same as Windows Restore function but not as comprehensive as GoBack.

Use Norton removal tool to get rid of Norton.

Personally I also like Avast and AVG.
Advanced Windows Care is also good all purpose free optimizer.
