I'm not sure if I should be posting this here. But anyway, I would just like to ask you guys if what's the best VoIP provider available in the US? any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

they all have the same basic feature set...
but some have EXTRAs
for instance i know COMCAST has a 15 minute battery meaning if you power goes out you can keep talking for 15 minutes (more if you get a UPS)
some have voicemail
they will all give goos quality and basic features it's the more advanced ones you should look into
Just stay away from Vonage; they're in some sort of legal trouble right now and a judge has halted them from any further sales at this time.

Yep, i've also heard about the Verizon-Vonage lawsuit. And I don't think it would affect me any way since i'm on dial up. Any VoIP providers that you know which might work on dial up?

You won't find any VoIP that will work on dialup. There isn't enough bandwidth on a dialup connection to work with VoIP. The effective bandwidth of a dialup connection is roughly 3kb/sec whereas VoIP requires an effective bandwidth of at least 34kb/sec.

+1 to that!
